Walter Mwasaa is a development sector manager with a 23 -year track record guiding the implementation of food security development programs. Walter’s visionary leadership and wealth of expertise has been instrumental in guiding the successful implementation of numerous development programs and throughout his career, he has held the esteemed position of Chief of Party (COP) for 14 years, working with renowned international organizations such as CARE International and Save the Children. Walter’s expertise extends across multiple countries, including Kenya, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone and Bangladesh. This exposure has equipped him with a deep understanding of diverse cultural contexts and enabled him to navigate complex development challenges with ease. As a development manager, Walter’s exceptional skills as a communicator, facilitator, and coalition builder have been pivotal to his success. He possesses a unique ability to foster strong relationships with donors and government counterparts, ensuring collaboration and alignment towards shared development goals.
